WASHINGTON/September 19/BPALiveWire Alveda King Ministries will join She Leads America for a "Fresh Start 4 Life" luncheon at the Museum of the Bible on Friday, September 19. In addition to Dr. Alveda King, the luncheon will feature national pro-life leaders, including She Leads America Christian 2023 Woman of Distinction, Dr. Day Gardner, Brandi Swindell and other champions of life.
This year, the focus of the luncheon is on how to actively invite more women into the conversation, particularly from communities that have been under-represented. The goal is to create a more diverse and inclusive movement for life, addressing all aspects from the womb to the tomb and beyond.
"As thousands of leaders from across the nation come to Washington, D.C. for Congressional Black Caucus week to report on issues in the Black community, we are blessed to report that thousands of babies have been given a fresh start for life because the sanctity of life reigns,” said Dr. King.
Dr. King continued, “We are also eager to amplify the voices of Black women in the Pro-life movement. Planned Parenthood has made billions of dollars over the last 50 years largely by setting up shop in the Black community. Alveda King Ministries and She Leads America are proud to share the stories and victories of those communities once devastated by the abortion movement."
