Dr. Alveda King: A Personal, Public Decision

My friends, I have reached a deeply thoughtful and prayer filled decision, one that brings both joy and peace. I have decided to follow Jesus publicly, no turning back; no turning back. You may be receiving some of the same messages I’m getting regarding the upcoming elections. Some are saying “I will vote for the lesser of two evils.” Actually, I do not plan to vote for evil. I plan to vote for the best good possible. There actually is a difference.

Politics is low frequency. Yet due to much of the media and confused hearts, politics is very loud in the ears and the hearts of Americans. I have decided to take a position of all “hands on” deck. With a repentant heart and mind, I am crying out to God that people will stop fighting each other, repent, forgive and OCCUPY God's kingdom at the ballot box; voting for biblical values and not personalities.

All “hands on” deck to me means forgiving grievances and taking the beam out of my eye before I judge others. I'm hearing so much about everybody's sins, that my personal struggle is to tune out human accusations to hear God's voice. I am intentionally tuning out all conspiracy theories; and tuning in to God instead.

12 "Do not call conspiracy all that this people calls conspiracy, and do not fear what they fear, nor be in dread.
13 But the LORD of hosts, him you shall honor as holy. Let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.
~ Isaiah 8:12-13 ESV

Injustice [and racism] anywhere is a threat to justice [and one blood/one race/human dignity] everywhere.

Hello, I am not angry with Charlie Kirk. I do believe Charlie should take a page from George Wallace’s book; repent of racism and apologize. No, I am not condemning Lt. Governor Mark Robinson; I’m not judging his past. However, the same applies to Mark and everyone; myself included: “Repent, the KINGDOM OF GOD is here.”

Actually, I don’t hate President Biden and VP Harris. I disagree with their policies so I will not vote for them. It’s not an emotional decision; it’s a logical choice.

“Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.”
~ 1 Timothy 2:2 NLT

Stop accusing others; let’s get the beam out of our own eye. Examine the policies and platforms of the candidates. Align our votes with biblical values; not gender or skin color for God’s sake.

“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.”
~ Romans 3:23 NLT

I am praying. I'm stating all of this publicly and prayerfully because my friends, it is time to OCCUPY and ENFORCE the kingdom of God.

Righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit do not include mocking and rebuking, others. Shaming and blaming repel.

“Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads [humans] to repentance?”
~ Romans 2:4

Righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit do not include abortion on demand throughout pregnancy, sexual mutilation of children, unsafe borders, and many of the other issues that are on the ballot in November.

I have decided to publicly follow Jesus. No turning back. No turning back. Human life, from the womb to the tomb and beyond are on the line. Jesus is our lifeline.
